Each time you practice winning a fight scenario, you are practicing a winning state of mind. I believe that our subconscious mind does not know if this is a real fight or not -- it is really winning!

In this way we consciously create a mindset that creates success.

A healthy body contributes to a healthy mind. Our Martial Arts classes provide a fun friendly atmosphere to get in shape. It’s not like going to the gym. We get fit through a holistic approach to body movement.

Always Evolving Awareness!

I like the "holistic" movement. Awareness of balance (and the loss of it) is a teacher in itself. Throwing a big guy is a truly great feeling. Throwing a whole class of guys... well that IS empowering.

If there is one consistent theme in my life, it is my friendships with other women. It never ceases to lift me up.

Within a dojo or training hall each student shares what they have learned with the others of varying rank. My dojo classmates were always there for me. Martial Arts creates a second family!

Heighten your awareness of your surroundings. Learn to see with more than just your eyes. Learn to hear with more than just your ears (really).

We all have tremendous untapped abilities of perception and they can be greatly developed through studying Ninjutsu.

I had struggled with self confidence almost all my life (and still work on it to this day). Fortunately, I have received support and encouragement from my family and my friends.

I have witnessed other friends who have not been so lucky. They have been shamed and mocked. How can they take risks if their inner voice discourages them?

I believe martial arts is a chance to re-program those negative messages and encourage all of us to try something new... even if it feels "dangerous".

A true dojo (training hall) should be geared to best ensure a good learning experience for all students. Unfortunately this is not always the case. In our dojo we know how important this is and have created a wonderful atmosphere for learning.

This comes from a combination of four things:

  1. A teacher who understands and cares for the needs and different learning styles of her students.
  2. Students who show respect to each other and to the knowledge they are learning.
  3. A commitment to questions and honest answers
  4. A natural human environment that balances learning and fun.

Training with me you will experience all this and more. From my years of martial arts experience I can help you work through any difficulties you may face in training.
